Hip Arthritis

Hip arthritis can cause deep, aching or sharp pain in the groin, thigh or buttock. Stiffness, difficulty putting on shoes, and a heavy feeling after walking are common.
Greater Trochanteric Pain Syndrome

Pain on the outer hip, especially when lying on that side, is often due to irritation of the gluteal tendons or inflammation of the bursa.
