Marlon Mata

Marlon qualified as a physiotherapist in 1998 from De La Salle University in the Philippines. He began his career in Sports Medicine, working alongside orthopaedic surgeons and developing a strong interest in lower limb injuries and post-operative rehabilitation.

After moving to the UK, he completed further postgraduate training in orthopaedic medicine, advanced clinical practice and prescribing. He has also completed extensive training in diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound-guided injection therapy.

In his NHS role, Marlon works as a clinical specialist managing a wide range of complex joint, tendon and soft tissue conditions. His work has included leading a weekly injection clinic, triaging orthopaedic referrals and collaborating with GPs, orthopaedic consultants and rheumatology teams.

At The London Ultrasound Clinic, Marlon provides a one-stop specialist service that combines detailed assessment, point-of-care ultrasound and, when suitable, ultrasound-guided injections. He is known for his calm and thoughtful manner and is highly regarded by patients and colleagues for his expertise, clear communication and patient-centred care.
