Knee Arthritis

Knee arthritis commonly causes stiffness, swelling, and pain with stairs or longer walks. Some patients notice grinding, tightness behind the knee, or reduced confidence when standing.
Meniscus Tear

A meniscus issue can cause sharp joint-line pain, swelling, or a catching sensation. Some people feel restricted when squatting or straightening the leg fully.
Baker’s Cyst

A Baker’s cyst feels like a tight, swollen lump behind the knee, often linked with arthritis or meniscus problems. Tightness worsens with bending or activity.
Patellar Tendinopathy

Patellar tendinopathy causes pain just below the kneecap during running, jumping, stairs, or repeated squatting. The tendon can become thickened and sensitive over time.
Patellar Bursitis

Patellar bursitis causes swelling and tenderness at the front of the knee, especially after kneeling, heavy activity, or repeated pressure.
Hoffa’s Fat Pad Impingement

Pain at the front of the knee that worsens with standing, squatting, or running may be linked to inflammation of Hoffa’s fat pad.
